3 The CAMS BeNeLux team
The CAMS BeNeLux team consists of a small group of amateurs who work together without any formal structure. Contrary to many other domains in amateur astronomy, the CAMS project is not suitable for occasional observations. Although everyone runs the cameras as often as possible and reports the data without any postponing, it remains volunteers work and most stations have a number no activity nights during holidays or for other reasons. The CAMS team is a dynamic team with a lot of enthusiasm and a strong motivation. Participation in a camera network such as CAMS requires a good team spirit and the awareness that other participants depend on the availability of each one’s cameras. All participants receive regularly feedback and overviews of the status of the collected data with preliminary results. The frequent feedback provided by the CAMS operators definitely accounts for the motivation and dedication displayed by the whole team.

New participants are very welcome. Previous experience with meteor work is helpful but not required. Participating in CAMS can be best compared with operating a weather station. It requires a little bit of your time on a daily basis. Experienced CAMS operators are ready to help new volunteers.
